Myunclegus.com is a local Residential and Commercial Austin Handyman Services company. When we mean local we mean we are Born and Raised in Austin by Austinites that love this city and each other. We’re not a franchise from another state that’s never even visited here before and that doesn’t know the culture (Our beautiful Greenbelt, Camels Hole or Wendy Point) or the weirdness like the people (such as the late Leslie) or the lingo and the huge crack in the Capital floor that they won’t let us fix for some reason. Something about history but we weren’t listening. We have been on your street before (not to stalk you) but cause we know them. We strive to be more like family and to help whenever we can with whatever we can. So we hope to meet you soon and trade stories we got a ton of em.

How does the materials process I need for my project work? Do I need to purchase the materials on my own?

You can, but it is not necessary. All technicians use the same outlets that are available to you. Except places that we have accounts with that give us discounts.They have access to local hardware stores and home improvement centers. We can pick up, deliver and install any materials you desire for the project.

Do you charge by the hour or the job?

Yes & No.
Time & Materials is the fairest way to bill for services. It promotes mutual respect and long term loyalty. 90 Percent of the time we can give you a complete estimate but in some cases we have to bill by time. We always minimize the risk of the project taking longer and ultimately costing the customer more than the estimate.

Do you Screen your Techs? Can I trust the handyman in my home or office?

Our technicians go through a thorough screening process. Each of our technicians have years experience and their own hand-tools. If we are training we send an experienced Senior tech out with all new recruits to ensure the job is done right. We know that trust is a major factor when you have someone coming into your home or business, so we make certain all of our technicians are prompt, clean, and professional!

Almost Forgot Do you work weekends and evenings?

Of course! Most of our jobs are completed during the weekend when the clients are home from work. When you book your appointment with the call center, the call service representative will make every effort to accommodate your schedule.
